UK: Aid focus turns to poverty and value

Call for accountability: "I was extremely concerned that a small group [...] have been assessed as having serious weaknesses. I will be taking a very tough approach to these organisations. We will not tolerate waste, inefficiency or a failure to focus on poverty reduction" said Andrew Mitchell, UK International development secretary referring to a review of multilateral agencies published this week by DFID, reports the FT.
