Solomon Island villagers ready for tsunami and cyclone

According to the Solomon Star, disaster simulation exercises have successfuly been carried out by Village Disaster Management Committee (VDMC) members in 11 villages, under the supervision of the Pacific Community-focused Integrated Disaster Risk Reduction (PCIDRR) Field Officer for Guadalcanal, to test village disaster response plans for tsunami and cyclone evacuations.
