Arab nations are getting together to promote the implementation of the United Nation's guidelines to disaster risk reduction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A three days workshop began this week in the city as part of the efforts to implement the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) in the Arab world, reports the Arab News website.

“The workshop is expected to set a mechanism on how to implement the Hyogo plan in the region,” said Prince Turki, president of the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment Protection (PME) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
