Prepared International (PPI) formalizes impactful relationship with Pan African Institute for Development (PAID)

At Prepared International (PPI), we believe a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is only as strong as the action behind it. While we were proud to officially formalize our partnership with the distinguished Pan African Institute for Development (PAID) with a strategic MOU, our on-the-ground reality tells a much deeper story.

Africa is at a decisive crossroads - resource-rich and demographically dynamic yet still challenged by structural development gaps. Climate and displacement pressures make integrated resilience systems no longer optional, but essential.

This agreement provides a focused framework to scale the impact we have already been delivering across the continent.

Together, we have already been going a long way: We strengthened emergency preparedness and response capacities across countries including Cameroon, Ghana, Central African Republic and Togo. Our work in Ghana is a prime example of the depth of our collaborative work where we were commissioned by IOM to develop a comprehensive cross-border emergency management plan. Working alongside the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), we created an inter-agency framework and exercised guiding border officials in responding to crises and meeting the immediate needs of displaced persons.

Beyond Ghana, our partnership continues to reach new milestones. We have been commissioned by the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) to develop a dedicated Knowledge and Training Centre for Climate and Disaster Resilience for the region, strengthening disaster risk management capacities for ECCAS and its Member States

By blending PAID’s 60 years of continental legitimacy and diplomatic standing with PPI’s international disaster mitigation expertise, we are ensuring that this formal agreement translates into lasting, sustainable safety for the communities we serve. Together, we bridge the gap between global standards and African realities, working with stakeholders to develop adapted measures that move beyond one-size-fits-all models.
