The Philippines and Thailand have decided to strengthen their economic relationship and cooperate in disaster risk reduction and mitigation, as per Business World. President Benigno S.C. Aquino III had an expanded bilateral meeting with Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to discuss key issues. Both countries agreed that the two governments “must work closely together to protect [their] people from national disasters.”
