Papua New Guinea to set up disaster risk reduction body

Papua New Guinea's Government says it is setting up a commission to liaise with domestic and international organisations dealing with disaster-related issues, reports Radio New Zealand.

According the article, PNG's ambassador to Japan, Gabriel Dusava, said this at this week's World Conference in Sendai City in Japan, where he told participants that a bill to set up a Disaster Risk Reduction Commission was awaiting approval by PNG's Parliament.
