“We all need to better understand the added value of the disaster risk reduction policies so that we invest more in prevention and protect more people and their assets in the future,” said Dr Nadeem-ul-Haque, deputy chairman of the Planning Commission at a recent seminar and launch of the joint report from the UN and the World Bank 'Natural hazards, unnatural disasters: The economics of effective prevention.'
