The Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance invites article submissions for the next issue of Liaison, CFE-DM’s journal of civil-military disaster management and humanitarian relief collaborations.

The theme for the Winter 2017 issue is Regional Cooperation in Disaster Management.

Regional intergovernmental organizations such as ASEAN and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC); centers like the Changi Regional HADR Coordination Centre (RHCC) and ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre); multinational working groups like the ADMM-Plus Expert Working Group on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief; and agreements like the FRANZ agreement, have unified nations with the goal of jointly responding to disasters when they strike, and work together to better prepare nations for future disasters.

CFE-DM invites original submissions from contributors of all backgrounds within the DMHA community that have supported collaborations in assessments, lessons learned, technology, science and applied research, and training and education within the regional cooperation theme.

Abstracts are due July 1, 2017.

First drafts are due August 15, 2017.

Liaison is a journal of civil-military disaster management and humanitarian relief collaborations and aims to engage and inform readers on the most current research, collaborations and lessons learned available.
