The newly configured Sustainable Development and Disaster Unit at the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) subregional headquarters for the Caribbean is geared up to provide technical expertise to disaster-affected and disaster-prone countries, reports the St Kitts-Nevis Observer.

According to the article, it will do this utilizing the latest information and communications technology (ICT) tools including dynamic training courses, interactive resources and a repository of multimedia tools.
