Deadline for registration extended: Plenaries of the Midterm Review of the Implementation of the Sendai Framework (MTR SF)

The seventh session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (GP2022) will be organized and convened by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) from 23 to 28 May 2022, in Bali, Indonesia, hosted by the Government of Indonesia. The event will be co-chaired by the Government of Indonesia and UNDRR.

UNDRR is pleased to share details on the Plenaries of the Midterm Review of the Implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 (MTR SF). The MTR SF Plenaries form a central part of the GP2022 Official Programme and its outcome, and are an important contribution to the MTR SF, which concludes at a High-Level Meeting of the UN General Assembly on the MTR SF on 18-19 May 2023.

The hybrid Plenaries will take place on 26 and 27 May 2022 both in-person at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre and online. Intended to be interactive sessions, they are open to representatives of all Member States and non-State stakeholders. Participants are invited to provide interventions focusing on the specific theme and guiding questions of each Plenary.Please familiarize yourself in advance with the Concept Notes for each Plenary, as well as the MTR SF Concept Note and Guidance for Member States and Stakeholders. How to pre-register for interventions in the MTR SF Plenaries?

To attend the MTR SF Plenaries, participants need to be registered at the GP2022. Registered GP2022 participants who wish to take the floor during the Plenaries are strongly encouraged to indicate their interest using the MTR SF pre-registration form by 18 May 2022. Please note that, due to time constraints, speaking slots at the MTR SF Plenaries are limited. The provisional speaking order will be communicated to participants prior to the GP2022 opening, on the GP2022 website.
