Dead sea area and valley seismic vulnerability discussed at the 'Guardians of the Valley' conference

Seismic vulnerability of the Dead Sea area and the Jordan Valley, and earthquake risk reduction, an important issue to consider within the development framework, was presented at the 'Guardians of the Valley' conference.

Notes:

1. As part of its interaction with the local and international stakeholders, Support Action for Strengthening Palestinian-administered Areas capabilities for Seismic Risk Mitigation (SASPARM) Project is dedicated to participating in events for the purpose of public awareness and debate.

2. The SASPARM Project aims to educate and spread awareness on earthquakes’ risks and mechanism for maintaining public safety of citizens.

3. The Project is sponsored by the EU within the FP7 projects and in partnership with the European Centre for Seismic Engineering and IUSS University Pavia, Italy.
