Call for chapter submissions: Emerging technologies in enhancing disaster resilience

UNDRR launches a call for contributions for a new compendium titled “State of Art Policy and Practice of Emerging Technologies in Enhancing Resilience.”

The compendium aims to compile and analyze global case studies on the application of emerging and disruptive technologies—such as artificial intelligence, satellite systems, blockchain, and next-generation telecommunications—in disaster risk reduction (DRR). It is intended to serve as a key knowledge resource for governments, institutions, and practitioners worldwide.

Researchers, practitioners, and experts with relevant experience are invited to contribute case studies that align with the specified thematic areas and technological focus. Contributions should follow the detailed submission guidelines provided in the official call document.

  • Case studies should focus on the application of emerging technologies in DRR.
  • Submissions must follow the provided thematic matrix and chapter structure.
  • Maximum length: 10 pages (5,000 words), single-spaced.
  • Include high-resolution images, figures, and references where  applicable.
  • All materials must be copyright-free or accompanied by permissions.
  • Submission deadline: 28 February 2026
  • Peer review and plagiarism checks will be conducted before final acceptance.
  • Accepted chapters will be published as an open-access book by a reputable publisher.
