Call for application: IRDR International Centres of Excellence
The Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR), a global scientific programme co-sponsored by the International Science Council (ISC) and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), invites applications from qualified institutions to become IRDR International Centres of Excellence (ICoEs).
What is IRDR ICoE
IRDR ICoEs serve as hubs for transdisciplinary research, capacity building, and policy support in advancing the mission of IRDR, which is to mobilize science for disaster risk reduction (DRR), resilience building, and sustainable development.

Application
Submit an Expression of Interest (EoI) to the IRDR International Programme Office (IPO) including:
- A description of the organisation requesting IRDR ICoE, including its basic organisational structure, key personnel, funding sources, scientific research capacity, and linkage with the international disaster risk research network;
- An overview of the professional activities for the past years, including past and ongoing programmes with regard to disaster risk research;
- A plan of incorporating IRDR objectives into its own missions and its implementation;
- A vision to develop the IRDR ICoE;
- Identification of funding and other support.
Additional note:
Applicants are required to review the list and research foci of existing IRDR ICoEs available on the IRDR official website. Proposals that duplicate existing ICoEs' scope or names may not be considered.
