The Fundamentals of Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) is a 6-week online course that will give you an in-depth understanding of a niche, and fast-growing asset class.

You will undertake a programme that takes a theoretical and practical approach to ILS, looking at what they are, how they are used, and the role they play in narrowing the gap between economic and insured losses. You will also learn how ILS can be used as an investment product that conforms to ESG and impact investing frameworks through catastrophe bond issuance in Emerging Markets.

In a time where there is macroeconomic uncertainty, ILS offer investors a truly diversified asset class, with returns that are uncorrelated to the financial markets and broader economy. By the end of the course, you will understand how and why ILS are used within an investment portfolio.

We cater for all knowledge levels, from those starting in the industry to experienced practitioners who are looking to learn about new opportunities in the market.
