Mission

自治体問題研究所は、設立して半世紀を迎える会員制の組織です。 現在、全国の都道府県・地域に38地域研究所があり、約１万人の会員がいます。 会員は各地域の研究所が定める会費を納め、学習・研究・調査・提言などの活動に積極的に参加する一方、まだ地域研究所のない県での研究所組織づくりや、まちの政策集団をめざす活動を積極的にすすめます。 会員は自治体職員、研究者、地方議員、市民活動や町内会のメンバー、そして地域の教育・文化・環境運動や高齢者介護の活動に携わる方々など様々です。

Japan institute of Local Government is a members-only organization in which members actively participate in activities such as learning, research, investigations, and proposals. It also actively promotes activities aimed at establishing research institutes in prefectures that do not yet have regional research institutes, and at creating local policy groups.
