WHO/AFRO Regional consultation meeting on training curriculum for disaster emergencies for the African region

The meeting will cover five areas namely: global initiatives; existing training programmes including WHO collaborative centres; field experiences and needs; and donor's expectations.

These areas will allow participants to take stock of what is happening in emergency capacity building at global and region levels and be able to come out with a realistic plan of action or road map for curriculum development.

UNISDR participation and contribution is hoped to further enrich the debates and outputs by bringing in the discussions some insights from the field work.
