This conference will be accompanied by a set of field trips and workshops on the TIEMS TQCTM & TQACTM International Certification and the emergency management/disaster risk management of the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa.
The conference will be hosted by the TIEMS South Africa Chapter and Rhodes University and Stenden South Africa in collaboration with the University of Žilina, Slovakia; Institute for Disaster Management of the National University of Public Service, Budapest, Hungary.
South African professional organizations will also be supporting the conference, such as the North-West Umbrella Fire Protection Association.
The main topic of the 2023 Annual TIEMS Conference is Crises, Emergencies and Disasters – a Continuum of Challenges and Opportunities in the 21st Century.
