About

We are delighted to announce that the 6th Asia-Pacific Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action will take place from 1-3 November 2022. For the first time in the region, this will be a hybrid event, with participants able to join in Bangkok, Thailand, and online.

This year’s theme is ‘Anticipatory action: building bridges for a stronger disaster risk management system’ and the event will provide a forum for lively exchanges between anticipatory action experts, practitioners and newcomers, from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The concept note for the event provides further details of the themes and issues that will be debated.

The 6th Asia-Pacific Dialogue Platform is being hosted by the Anticipation Hub and co-organized by the German Red Cross, the Finnish Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the World Food Programme and the Start Network.

Further information about in-person and virtual participation, registration and the agenda will be shared at the end of September. Please subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates, or follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn.
