Plans and experiences: risk reduction and emergency preparedness seminar
This seminar aims to “scale up and cascade down” knowledge dissemination on evidence-based disaster risk reduction in the context of government organizations and industries’ plans and experience. By gathering local, state and Federal government managers, industry leaders, EM experts, policy makers, planners, and military leaders, representatives are given the venue to present their practices in disaster risk reduction so that others may validate, adapt, and apply these practices to their respective risk context. This seminar will also facilitate peer-to-peer learning exchange and empowerment among the stakeholders. Benefit from other’s experiences and capabilities in implementing sound disaster risk reduction practices and models that have proven successful in similar situations. The seminar is an opportunity to review the state-of-the-practice in disaster risk management.
