Persons with disabilities and climate action: how we can be more inclusive?
There is an urgent need to build bridges between Disability Rights and the Environmental and Climate Justice movements to ensure that no one will be left behind in the context of unpredictable weather behaviour. It is not until very recently that the subject was discussed in the context of the Sendai Framework on Disaster Risk Reduction, and that the OHCHR launched an Analytical study on the rights of persons with disabilities in the context of climate change. Humanitarian responders must consult people with disabilities and their organisations about ways to achieve meaningful inclusion in action plans to support populations who are already experiencing famine, lack of access to water, floods, wildfires and forced relocation.

- Impact of climate crisis on persons with disabilities including causing displacement.
- Relationship between enhancing disability inclusion and accessibility, and combatting climate crisis.
- Measures taken to enhance disability-inclusion in response to climate crisis including from the intersectionality perspective.
