Driven by the theme Women and Girls: the [in]Visible Force of Resilience, International Day for Disaster Reduction (IDDR) 2012 draws attention to what women and girls are doing to reduce disasters risks in their homes, communities, and societies. The city of Pearl Lagoon will celebrate the International Day for disaster Reduction with a march and social mobilization.
