Invitation to an online dialogue on early warning

The 2004 tsunami showed that many countries in the Indian Ocean region needed better systems to warn people of coming hazards. Since then, humanitarian agencies and governments in the region have been working to strengthen institutions and policies for disaster risk management.

The 'Online dialogue on early warning' is jointly hosted by the Stockholm Environment Institute, the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre, Macquarie University and the Raks Thai Foundation. Anyone interested in disaster preparedness and early warning systems is welcome to join this discussion.
