This High-Level Panel (HLP) discusses how we can harness the collective momentum behind various global agendas to ensure that the United Nations 2023 Water Conference is a true watershed moment and exemplifies an all-hands-on-deck effort from the global community of leaders and practitioners.

Now in its fifth edition, this HLP, convened by SIWI and the Government of The Netherlands, will invite leading voices from the global policy community, including from climate, oceans, and disaster risk reduction, to showcase their vision and commitments on the Road to 2023. It will serve as a platform for knowledge sharing and dialogue on how we can best harness the various global agendas to successfully and inclusively prepare for the UN 2023 Water Conference and beyond.

The HLP follows a succession of key global sustainable development policy milestones. In this opportune moment, this World Water Week (WWW) HLP will serve as a dialogue on harnessing the synergies between various global agendas and processes and invite stakeholders to showcase their relevant commitments on the road to the UN 2023 Water Conference. This is also an opportunity for the global policy community at WWW to assess our current progress and identify more clearly where we need to make more progress as we prepare for 2023 and beyond.

The High-Level Panel will feature speakers with diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, with a view to including the voices of women, youth, and other communities that have traditionally been marginalized.
