About
As climate impacts intensify, governments and partners increasingly need forward-looking evidence to understand where climate risks may reshape livelihoods, mobility patterns, and vulnerability - and how adaptation investments can better support communities to remain safely where they are or move with dignity when needed. This global virtual event will explore how data, modelling, and scenario-based analysis can support climate mobility planning and adaptation decision-making. It will also showcase the collaboration between GCCM and the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER), including the CliC:ME dashboard, a pilot platform designed to help users explore climate mobility and related socio-economic impacts through interactive maps, charts, and tables. In particular, the virtual event aims to: Illustrate how data, modelling, and scenario-based analysis can support climate mobility planning and adaptation decision-making; Showcase the GCCM-LISER collaboration and present the CliC:ME dashboard as a practical tool for exploring climate mobility and related socio-economic impacts; Highlight how forward-looking evidence can inform policy conversations, preparedness, and adaptation action; Foster dialogue among researchers, governments, practitioners, and young leaders on how to better connect evidence, policy, and adaptation action. We welcome attendance from across regions working at the intersection of climate resilience, human mobility, adaptation policy, and data-driven analysis.
