Global Water Futures Project invites interested people to join a lunchtime panel discussion on water scarcity in both the U.S. and abroad and the security implications. Erik Webb of Sandia National Laboratories will moderate three panels that will consist of experts from the US government, the private sector, and NGOs. The discussion will include an analysis of the challenges to achieving sustainable water resources management and recommendations to overcome them.

This lunch/panel discussion will complement an event on June 16 entitled "Drought, Water Scarcity & International Security in the 21st Century" that will feature the preview of the documentary Running Dry: Beyond the Brink.

This event is made possibly by the Chronicles Group/Running Dry Project, American Water, the Embassy of Australia, and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
