The event will present the launch of the global mechanisms to formulate measurable, verifiable and reportable local climate action now, up to and beyond 2012, resulting from the World Mayors Summit on Climate (Mexico City, 21 November 2010). The event will introduce and promote within the international audience of COP 16 the new phase of commitment towards which local authorities worldwide are moving.
