About
The Chulalongkorn University Social Research Institute (CUSRI) and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) invite researchers, practitioners, policymakers, government agencies, international organisations, civil society organisations, and other interested stakeholders to join the Adaptation Research Alliance (ARA) and participate in a national forum on climate change adaptation.
The forum will mark the official launch of the Adaptation Research Alliance (ARA) in Thailand and bring together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, government agencies, civil society organisations, development partners, and other stakeholders working on climate change adaptation.
Through panel discussions, expert dialogues, and knowledge exchange sessions, participants will explore emerging adaptation challenges and opportunities, share evidence and experience, and discuss how research, policy, finance, and practice can be better connected to support climate-resilient development in Thailand.
The forum aims to strengthen cross-sector collaboration, promote action-oriented adaptation research, and foster a growing community of actors committed to advancing adaptation knowledge and practice.
Participants from across Thailand are welcome to join the ARA and help strengthen adaptation research, partnerships, and climate resilience.
Poster presentation and grant
As part of the event, researchers are invited to submit their work to the Poster Presentation Competition. The competition aims to highlight ongoing adaptation research in Thailand, facilitate knowledge exchange, and encourage dialogue between researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders. Three outstanding poster presentations will be selected to receive awards of THB 10,000 each, together with commemorative plaques. The submission deadline is 22 June 2026.
Participants are also invited to submit proposals for the ARA Thailand Seed Grant, which will provide funding of up to THB 100,000 to support promising adaptation research and collaborative initiatives. The submission deadline is 29 June 2026.
Please note that this forum and all activities will be conducted entirely in Thai.
