Certificate program on business continuity planning for SMEs
The Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) together with the Office for Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion (OSMEP) and the Department of Disaster Mitigation and Preparedness (DDPM) has been working on the project supported by the JTI Foundation focusing on improving natural disaster resilience of SMEs in Thailand in general, and the Ayutthaya province of Thailand in particular. The overall objective of the project will be to improve disaster resilience in by increasing awareness among SMEs, supporting SMEs to engage effectively with local government in risk reduction activities, and documenting and disseminating the lessons in Ayutthaya and other provinces.
In order to achieve the goal of improving Thai SMEs’ resilience, ADPC and its national partners are organizing the Training of Trainers under the name of ‘Certificate Program on Business Continuity Planning for SMEs’ from 18 to 21 February 2014

• To build capacity for developing and promoting business continuity planning (BCP) for resilient SMEs in Thailand

Delivery Method
The course module and training material will be based on the Guidebook on SME Business Continuity Planning developed by APEC SME Crisis Management Center in collaboration with Asian Disaster Reduction Center. The following modules will be suitably adapted to Thailand conditions.
