At COP30, Parties adopted the Belém Adaptation Indicators—the first globally agreed set of indicators for tracking progress on resilience and adaptation under the GGA Framework. A decade after Paris, this marks a significant milestone for the Global Goal on Adaptation. But the process that produced them left important questions open: gaps in metadata and methodologies, uneven data availability, and capacity constraints that vary widely across national contexts.

With SB64 convening in Bonn, Parties are preparing to take the next steps from COP30. This webinar will unpack what was agreed at COP30 related to the GGA and what operationalizing the indicators will require technically and politically.

Attendees will leave with an understanding of:

  • How the Belém Adaptation Indicators came to be
  • The technical and political challenges to operationalize the indicators heading into SB64 and beyond
  • What an ambitious SB64 outcome would be including the launch of a technical taskforce and the indicators’ contribution to the second Global Stocktake

Bringing together experts and negotiators, the webinar aims to build shared understanding and surface actionable priorities for Bonn.
