ACDR2008 aims to further follow up the progress made towards the implementation of Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) and identify the gaps and challenges in the Asian region. It also provides an opportunity to discuss the future activities of the Asian Disaster Reduction Center (ADRC), on the 10th anniversary of its establishment. It is held in cooperation with UNDP/BCPR, WMO, UN/OCHA and UN/ESCAP.
