Course purpose:

The course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop and implement appropriate disaster risk management strategies.

Key aspects:

This is one of the ADPC Academy’s flagship courses, along with the CBDRR and FDRM courses. Initially offered shortly after the founding of ADPC in 1986, it has been redesigned and updated a number of times to ensure that it continues to be relevant for DRM professionals in a rapidly changing world. 

The course has so far produced more than 1,000 alumni who have gone on to make major contributions in the DRM field. There is a unique opportunity to be part of this special group in 2022 as the ADPC Academy delivers the golden edition of the course.

The topics to be covered cut across multi-hazard, multi-level, multi-agency, and multi-disciplinary facets and address both event-related activities as well as those activities that need to be undertaken to prevent or mitigate the impacts of hazards.

Course Methodology:

This course will be hybrid course, Online from 14-18 November 2022 and Face to Face from 21-25 November 2022. 

Course fee is USD1,900.
