2nd Lagos State summit on climate change

The Nigerian Ministry of the Environment, Lagos State is holding the 2nd summit on the climate change, theme: 'Trans-boundary Effects of Climate Change Sharing best practices in Mitigation.'

Twelve technical sessions are to be delivered by experts drawn from Nigeria, the USA, Mexico, Senegal and Australia on various aspects of climate change science, vulnerability, impacts, mitigation and adaptation, focusing on the following themes:

i. Adapting to climate change and sharing best practices
ii. UNIDO/Lagos State study on vulnerability analysis
iii. Adaptation to climate change and best practices
iv. Mitigation strategies for low carbon economy
v. Financing for climate change mitigation activities
vi. Partnerships and collaboration for combating climate change
vii. Shipwreck and coastal erosion
viii. Post-Copenhagen and Mexico 2010
ix. Climate change, Lagos State/WHO Partnership
