Overview:

This three day workshop will address a wide range of issues relating to application of fire weather, with a focus on utilisation of research. This will cover research agendas, forecasting practices, operational application, bushfire risk management, technology and training. It will be a major professional development activity, and its outcomes will be published.

The conferece goals are:


- To improve liaison between meteorologists, researchers, risk managers and fire managers;
- Progress key national agenda items;
- Keep up with the latest developments here and abroad, as a professional development stream;
- Provide papers for the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Journal; and
- Produce a report that provides guidance on addressing the issues raised and discussed.
