Spain royal decree 486/1997 of April 14 establishing the minimum safety and health provisions in the workplace
Law 486/1997 is the legal norm that determines the basic body of guarantees and responsibilities necessary to establish an adequate level of protection of the health of workers against the risks derived from working conditions, within the framework of a coherent, coordinated and effective policy.
According to article 6 of this Law, it will be the regulatory rules that will set and specify the most technical aspects of preventive measures, through minimum standards that guarantee adequate protection of workers. Among these are necessarily those aimed at guaranteeing safety and health in the workplace, so that their use does not result in risks for workers.
