Drought-parched Botswana struggles to keep cattle culture alive

Longer and harsher droughts are driving a growing share of Botswana's traditional cattlemen to give up their animals, but some are holding on to preserve their livelihoods, culture and tradition. Amid declining beef exports, these farmers are now using labab, a sturdy legume, as cattle fodder.
