National committee end of IDNDR decade reports (1999)

Introduction

This collection includes reports on assessments of the achievements and progress made in disaster risk reduction (DRR) by countries at the end of the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR) (1990-1999). It describes the country's experience with natural hazards and disasters at that time, presents the then national institutional and legal framework for DRR and provides strategic guidelines and recommendations for future activities.
