Papua New Guinea: end of IDNDR assessment report (1998)
This report provides an assessment of the achievements and progress made in disaster risk reduction (DRR) by Papua New Guinea during the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR). It describes country’s recent experience with natural hazards and disasters, such as volcano, drought, landslide and cyclone, also presents national institutional and legal framework for DRR and provides strategic guidelines and recommendations for future activities.
