Job summary

Following a review of the Emergency Planning and Business Continuity function at Public Health Wales, we are looking to further strengthen our workforce.

An opportunity has arisen for an exciting new position of Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response Officer within the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Team at Public Health Wales.

Main duties of the job

The Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response Officer will deliver, facilitate and project manage the implementation key elements of Emergency Planning and Business Continuity across the organisation and with multi-agency partners. This will include supporting the review and implementation of a training and exercise programme against identified risks and delivering performance improvement through policy and plan development.

This is a chance to join a national Public Health organisation, contributing to and supporting its statutory responsibilities for emergency preparedness and response.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job description

This is a full time and permanent post which will operate at an all-Wales level, supporting Public Health Wales arrangements across the country.

A job description outlining the remit of the post is provided. The post will be hosted within the Health Protection and Screening Services Directorate and be based in Cardiff with regular travel across Wales.
