Disaster management delegate (Solomon Islands)

Australian Red Cross is seeking an experienced disaster management professional to work with the Solomon Islands Red Cross to build their disaster management program.
The Solomon Islands Red Cross (SIRC) 2010-2015 Strategic Plan commits them to "Become a Regional Leader in Disaster Management encompassing effective Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction, fast and first disaster response and sustainable disaster recovery".
Specifically SIRC intend to:
- increase community capacity to prepare for and respond to disasters and to give voice to their concerns and challenges regarding disaster risks and hazards; and
- increase SIRC Organisational capacity to prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters.
The Delegate will support SIRC to achieve this goal, ensuring that the Australian Red Cross supported Pacific Disaster Management Partnership contributes meaningfully to SIRC's overall program and is managed effectively.
