International MPH in Emergency and Disaster Management
Executive Masters in Public Health
The program, which spans over one academic year, covers both theoretical and practical aspects of emergency and disaster management. It creates and encourages unique collaboration between academic experts and field professionals, and aims to provide a broad and comprehensive vision and understanding of disaster management. To this end, the program adopts an interdisciplinary approach regarding the training, provision of knowledge and topic presentation and discussion throughout the courses.
The curriculum combines a strong academic orientation that provides both the relevant knowledge and research skills, in conjunction with the practical and operative experience of the faculty, and the students themselves. Our alumni hold positions in Israel and around the globe in national and international security organizations, emergency management departments, NGOs, the UN and more.
The program has three major goals:
- To impart the academic knowledge and the operational and theoretical analysis skills required when dealing with emergency and disaster events.
- To develop new, innovative and critical ways of thinking when examining plans of intervention for dealing with emergency and disaster situations, and the ability to put these plans into action.
- To provide the knowledge and hands-on experience to develop the skills needed for dealing with different types of emergencies and disasters, using capacity building, management, organization, and the evaluation and analysis of these situations.
