Master’s degree in Earthquake Engineering
The Master’s in Earthquake Engineering, is a postgraduate programme offering advanced, specialised training in seismic risk assessment and mitigation.
Established in 2001, the ROSE School is an international centre of excellence jointly promoted and supported by the two local universities - the University of Pavia and IUSS Pavia - as well as by the two dedicated applied research centres based in Pavia - Eucentre Foundation and GEM Foundation.
The Master’s programme combines scientific research and professional practice to address the challenges of seismic safety through a combination of lectures, applied projects and internships. The curriculum covers topics such as seismic design, assessment and retrofitting of structures, performance-based engineering, and seismic hazard and risk assessment.
Taught in English, the programme attracts students, researchers, and professionals from all over the world, fostering an international environment focused on knowledge sharing and innovation in earthquake engineering.
