The course:

- Provides practical and theoretical training in disaster risk reduction

- Is designed and run by a group of experts from DPPI states and international partner organizations, such as the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)

- Is organized within the Disaster Management Training Programme (DMTP) of the Disaster Preparedness and Prevention Initiative for South Eastern Europe (DPPI SEE) in cooperation with the United Nations Capacity for Disaster Reduction Initiative (CADRI) and the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB)
