Mission
TRANSFORM is an innovative capacity development initiative that strengthens individual and institutional capacity and leadership for the implementation of national social protection systems in Africa and the Arab Region. The programme combines technical knowledge on social protection with activities to encourage experiential learning and sharing of knowledge among participants. TRANSFORM is delivered by accredited Master Trainers from both regions and is designed to promote the process of institutionalization and adaptation to the regional context.
TRANSFORM was first developed in Sub- Saharan Africa in 2015 and has since established itself as one of the major capacity development platforms for social protection. TRANSFORM was extended to the Arab Region in 2020.
Voluntary Commitments
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
