USA: 42 U.S.C.A. § 7704 National earthquake hazards reduction program
A statute to establish the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program in the United States. Section (a)(2)(B) states that purpose of the statute is to promote the adoption of earthquake hazards reduction measures by federal, state, and local governments, national standards and model code organizations, architects and engineers, building owners, and others with a role in planning and constructing buildings and structures.
