Strategic research into national and local capacity building for disaster risk management: Philippines fieldwork report

This fieldwork report is part of a research aimed at drawing lessons and guidance on ‘how to’ build disaster risk management (DRM) capacity in a range of contexts. The report provides background on the disaster risk management context of the Philippines, the country's current capacity levels and analyses in depth several DRM capacity building programmes recently operational in the country. The report also features a series of ‘lessons learned’ from Philippines and compares findings with emerging findings from other countries.
