Seismic risk reduction and disaster management in Algeria

This paper discusses administrative, technical, political and legal aspects of Algeria’s national policy in seismic risk reduction. It presents seismic risk reduction planning activities and programmes, including the Global Disaster Reduction Programme and the Seismic Risk Reduction Programme, and reports on progresses and achievements in the implementation phase.
