This report provides an overview of progress in the implementation of the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR). It also considers trends in disasters and disaster risks, and coordination and guidance through the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction. Details of the implementation of the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) and international cooperation to reduce the impact of the El Niño phenomenon are contained in the annexes.
