Prepare with Pedro: Tornado

Prepare with Pedro is a 30- to 45-minute preparedness education program for grades K-2 that teaches students how to be prepared and take action for tornadoes. Prepare with Pedro complements The Pillowcase Project in scope and mission, by reading a story featuring a penguin named Pedro.

With these learning materials students can: 

  • Learn a coping skill and receive a storybook to share what they have learned at home;
  • Learn about earthquake preparedness in both schools and after-school programs;
  • Learn with videos available in English and Spanish.
