EU LAC MOU - Report on First Year of Implementation

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on integrated Disaster Risk Management (DRM) is a non-binding framework between the EU and different sub-regional entities in LAC, as well as individual countries not a part of the sub-regional intergovernmental entities. It was signed in Barbados on 15 May 2024 by the EU and three sub-regional intergovernmental organizations with a recognized mandate in disaster management and three individual countries, namely: the Coordination Centre for Disaster Prevention in Central America and Dominican Republic (CEPREDENAC), the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), the Disaster Prevention and Relief Andean Committee (SGCAN), Chile, Cuba and Mexico.
