RiverCraft 2 allows students to explore and understand the key areas of the Environment Agency’s work through three games themed around flood risk and climate change impacts.: Nature-based solutions, Farming, irrigation and drought management, and SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) and water efficiency in the home.
These three games have been created with the following learning outcomes:
- Understand how different environmental challenges can affect people and the environment.
- Learn about the complexities and challenges of environmental management.
- Develop problem-solving skills to tackle environmental challenges in a virtual world.
- Understand how to use alternative solutions to hard/construction engineering.
